We rode the train to Sydney town
From evening through to morning
And walked out into Sydney sun
Not too long after dawning
We dragged our bags to Darlinghurst
The streets were warm and humming
The flowers’ scent filled up the air
We wandered round past sunset
We walked all over Sydney town
All downhill to the harbour
We rode the ferries through the swell
Like sailors in new waters
We headed for Katoomba then
And climbed into the skyline / treetops / We clambered rocky stairways
And Welcomed by the sisters there / We said hello to sisters three
Fell asleep in olde world bedsheets
We walked along the harbour cliffs
From Bondi round to Coogee
The wind caressed us all the way
We sang to Sydney’s beauty
Oh sure I’ve been to Sydney town
I’ve lain upon her beaches
But I had never been with you
And now it left me speechless
Oh Sydney is a foreign land
And luxury gone by
Foreplay heyday field day doorwayhalfway outweigh payday survey someday sunday
